James served in the Australian Regular Army Signals Corps for 12 years and discharged at the rank of Sergeant in 2011. During his military career he also completed 10 years as a Combat Fitness Leader and 4 Years as a Unit Adventure Training Leader. Operational deployments included East Timor as part of the communications installation team (ICT), Iraq as the ICT detachment commander, and Afghanistan as the Information Systems Manager.
For the past two years he has been a volunteer mentor / instructor on military boot camps with at risk teens and is currently in his 3rd year of study for his Bachelor degree in Counselling and Coaching with a focus on youth development.
Tony has served in two military organisations – Australian Army Ready Reserve and the Royal Engineers (British Army) for 12 years. He has worked throughout the World providing infrastructure solutions and developing training programs.
For the last 10 months, he has organised and run military style boot camps for troubled youths at Veterans for Youth. These group sizes have ranged from 35 to 55 children over 10 day periods, focusing on mentoring troubled teenagers.
He has a Bachelor of Business Management, Advanced Diploma in Construction Management and is currently studying for an MBA at the Australian Institute of Business.
